Caffeinated trail mix!
Ever feel like you need a little extra energy or focus at work? Or need a boost when going on long drives or going hiking? Caffeinated trail mix may just hold the solution.
Nuts and seeds are great for extra energy. They're chock full of protein, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and omega-3, which makes them great for energy boosting snacks.
This is a nice easy one to throw together. For 1 serve, you're going to need:
4 Cashews
4 Almonds
1 tps Pumpkin seeds
1 tps Sunflower seeds
4 50 Cups of Coffee chocolates
and
a container or snap lock bag to store it in.
Throw everything into your container or snap lock bag together and give it a bit of a shake and you're done. The 4 chocolates gives you 100mg of caffeine, as well as chocolatey goodness to compliment the other ingredients.
You can always switch out nuts with others, or add another nut for a different flavour. Try not to have more than 10 nuts in one serving, as they can be quite high in kilojoules. Don't like seeds? Don't add them! And if you'd prefer a coffee bean kick, try adding 4 Jitterbeans instead of the 50 Cups of Coffee chocolates!
