Caffeine Safety

 

 

400mg of caffeine is a safe daily limit for healthy adults. That equates to:

 

   6.5 instant coffees

     or

   7 cups of tea

     or

   2.5 Monster energy drinks

     or

   5 Red Bull energy drinks

     or

   4 pieces of Military Energy Gum

     or

   12 packets of Energy Gummi Bears

 

 

Too much caffeine can cause a variety of symptoms, including (in order):

 

   Shaking

   Nervousness

   Increased heartbeat

   Anxiety

   Heart palpitations (cardiac arrhythmia)

   Insomnia

   Sweating

   Dizzyness

   Vomiting

   Cardiac arrest
 

If these symptoms occur, you should cease intake of caffeinated products to avoid more serious, potentially life threatening symptoms.
